Anti-Bullying Policy
Our Stance
Greenwood High School has zero tolerance for bullying in any form. Every student has the right to learn in a safe, respectful environment free from intimidation, harassment, or harm by peers or any member of the school community.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is defined as repeated, intentional behaviour intended to hurt, harm, or humiliate another person. It includes:
- Physical bullying — hitting, pushing, damaging property
- Verbal bullying — name-calling, threats, offensive remarks
- Social/relational bullying — exclusion, spreading rumours, manipulation
- Cyberbullying — harassment through digital means or social media
- Discriminatory bullying — based on caste, religion, gender, or disability
Prevention
- Class teachers conduct regular sessions on respect, empathy, and appropriate behaviour
- School counsellors are available on every campus for student support
- CCTV monitoring of common areas, playgrounds, and corridors
- Anonymous reporting mechanisms available for students
Consequences
Substantiated bullying cases result in graduated consequences including counselling, parental involvement, suspension, and in severe cases, expulsion. The school follows due process and natural justice principles in all investigations.
Reporting
Students and parents can report bullying to any class teacher, the Campus Principal, or by emailing office@ghs.ac.in. All reports are taken seriously and investigated confidentially.
