Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace
Legal Basis
Greenwood High School complies with The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). This policy applies to all employees across all five campuses.
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
Greenwood has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at each campus as required by law. The ICC includes a presiding officer (senior female employee), two staff members, and an external member from an NGO or legal background. ICC details are displayed on campus notice boards.
Prohibited Conduct
Sexual harassment includes but is not limited to:
- Physical contact or advances of a sexual nature
- Demand or request for sexual favours
- Sexually coloured remarks, jokes, or gestures
- Showing pornography or offensive material
- Any unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
How to File a Complaint
Any employee who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment may file a written complaint with the ICC Presiding Officer within 3 months of the incident. Complaints may also be submitted by email to office@ghs.ac.in marked "Confidential – POSH Complaint."
Confidentiality & Non-Retaliation
All complaints and proceedings are strictly confidential. Retaliation against any complainant or witness is strictly prohibited and treated as a separate disciplinary matter. Malicious false complaints will also result in disciplinary action.
